Within the GCAP Joint Venture, in the GCAP Technical Leadership UO, we are looking for a Product Delivery Manager - PLM, CAD & Product Data Management for GCAP HQ in Reading (UK).
The PLM, CAD & Product Data Management Product Delivery Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery, evolution, and operational performance of digital engineering products supporting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), CAD authoring tools, and engineering data management capabilities.
Reports to: Air Vehicle Design & Development Product Owner (L3).
Key Capability Accountabilities and Objectives
1. Product Delivery & Lifecycle Management
• Own the delivery and continuous improvement of PLM, CAD, and Product data management products and services
• Provide specialized expertise in relevant solutions, supporting the deployment, customization, and optimization of product lifecycle management processes.
• Translate business and engineering needs into clear product roadmaps, delivery plans, and prioritised backlogs
• Advise on best practices in his area across engineering teams.
• Support development and deployment of the set of processes, methodologies and work instructions required to enable the utilisation of digital solutions in his area including integration points with other systems and with LSI / Domains capabilities.
• Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with agreed quality and performance targets
• Manage upgrades, enhancements, and decommissioning activities across the product lifecycle
2. Stakeholder & Business Engagement
• Capture, challenge, and consolidate requirements to avoid duplication and fragmentation
• Communicate product vision, scope, risks, and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Develop and deploy Workforce and Culture aspects associated with his area, including defining and producing the training material that will be required.
• Define and Design Domain and Supply Chain integration into the systems supporting the pillar.
• Design, implement and support business change and support the transition of people to processes, framework and tools associated with his area, including defining and producing the training material that will be required.
3. Governance, Standards & Data Quality
• Ensure adherence to enterprise standards for CAD, PLM, configuration management, and data governance
• Define and enforce data models, naming conventions, metadata standards, and access controls
• Support regulatory, quality, and audit requirements related to engineering data and digital continuity
4. Delivery Execution & Operational Excellence
• Coordinate delivery across internal teams and suppliers, ensuring clear ownership and accountability
• Monitor service performance, technical debt, risks, and dependencies
• Drive incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement
• Balance short-term delivery pressures with long-term architectural and data strategy
5. Vendor & Technology Management
• Support relationships management with key technology vendors (e.g. suppliers, system integrators)
• Support contract management, licence optimisation, and vendor performance reviews
• Contribute to technology evaluations, proofs of concept, and strategic tool selection
• Drives technology innovation
