The mission of a Business Development Manager (BDM) is to drive growth and expand business opportunities for the organization. The BDM is responsible for increasing pipeline offering and winning contracts for an assigned services portfolio and/or within assigned geographical coverage. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 ul libDrive and Monitor Order Intake Pipeline /b ul liManage the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of orders. /li liMonitor and analyze key performance indicators related to order intake. /li /ul /li libUpdate Pipeline with New Prospects /b ul liIdentify and add new potential clients to the sales pipeline. /li liConduct research to identify prospects and assess their fit with the organization’s offerings. /li /ul /li libLead and Support on Contracts, Tenders, and Quotations /b ul liTake a proactive role in negotiating and securing major contracts. /li liProvide support in preparing tenders and quotations. /li /ul /li libContract Closing and Lessons Learned /b ul liLead activities to close contracts successfully. /li liCapture lessons learned from completed contracts to improve future processes. /li /ul /li libCross Selling and Mutual Opportunities /b ul liCollaborate with different departments within the organization to identify cross-selling opportunities. /li liDevelop strategies to leverage mutual opportunities across the RINA Group. /li /ul /li libCompetitor Tracking and Intelligence /b ul liMonitor competitor activities and provide updates on industry trends and intelligence. /li liUse competitor information to adapt and improve the organization’s strategies. /li /ul /li libSales and Business Development Initiatives /b ul liFocus on generating new sales and business opportunities. /li liConduct client visits and manage relationships with current and potential customers. /li /ul /li libAlliances and Partnerships /b ul liIdentify and explore opportunities for alliances and partnerships. /li liCollaborate with external organizations to enter new markets and expand business reach. /li /ul /li libCustomer Engagement and Satisfaction /b ul liEngage with current and potential customers to understand their needs and requirements. /li liSupport the focus on customer satisfaction, repeat business, and the development of new markets. /li /ul /li libStay Current with Offerings and Technology Solutions /b ul liStay updated on the organization’s current and future offerings. /li liUnderstand and communicate technological solutions to customers. /li /ul /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liSubstantial experience in business development, sales, or related roles is a key requirement. /li liBusiness Development Managers may be expected to have 5‑8 years or more of relevant experience. /li liProficient in sales techniques, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals. Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. /li liStrong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and agreements with clients, partners, and vendors. /li liAnalytical thinking to assess market trends, competitor activities and performance metrics to inform decision‑making. /li liIn‑depth knowledge of the food industry, market trends, and competitive landscape to make informed business decisions. /li liFamiliarity with relevant technologies and tools, including CRM systems, to streamline business development processes. /li liRequired willingness to travel frequently for business trips. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pBachelor’s Degree in Food Science or Agribusiness (Agriculture, Food Technology, Biology, Forestry, Chemistry, Animal Science, Veterinary Science).
