For a client of ours, we’re hiring a Senior Business Developer to lead the full lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects, across origination, partnerships, bidding, and transition to execution.
This is a strategic, cross-functional role that sits at the heart of new market entry and project development. You'll report to the Country Head and collaborate with international business development leads to identify high-impact opportunities and bring them to commercial close.
Identify and assess new project opportunities, partnerships, and acquisition targets
Build and validate the project’s financial model and risk profile
Monitor national and regional regulatory frameworks and incentives
Oversee external advisors (legal, engineering, commercial) and service providers
Ensure a smooth handover to implementation teams post-commercial close
Contribute to broader strategic development new markets, business lines, and partnerships
8–12 years’ experience in business development, project finance, M&A, or transactional roles
~ Proven track record in originating and closing complex infrastructure projects
~ Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills in competitive environments
~ Ability to operate across financial, legal, technical, and regulatory dimensions
~ Fluent English required; French or another European language is a plus
~ Based in Milan (hybrid model)
