Job Description : Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight) Location : Italy (Flexible in terms of location) Our client is an independent international freight forwarder experiencing growth in Italy, with strong ties to a global logistics leader, being part of a larger, well-established group. While maintaining autonomy, they leverage the resources, support, and scale of their parent company to drive growth and success. They are seeking a Senior Sales Manager for their expanding Air and Ocean Freight operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on senior commercial professional who can work autonomously and develop new verticals. It offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute significantly to the expansion of a thriving logistics business. Key Responsibilities : Sales Development : Drive the growth of multiple products and freight sales strategies, ensuring consistent expansion in new and existing markets. Business Development : Establish and develop new verticals, supporting the company's goal to expand its footprint in Italy. Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in specialised sectors such as food and beverage, project cargo, and luxury goods. Team Leadership : Support and lead a small but growing team, fostering a collaborative and high-energy sales culture. Market Expansion : Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy, with flexibility regarding regions of focus. Global Collaboration : Leverage knowledge and support from a global leader to drive new business and strengthen the company's position in Italy and internationally. Qualifications : Strong background in ocean freight; experience in air freight is a plus, and knowledge of road transport is beneficial. Experience or specialization in verticals such as food and beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods is advantageous. Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa, or Rome, with the ability to develop business in local territories. Ambitious and driven, with a hands-on approach and leadership aspiration within a rapidly expanding business.
