The ideal candidate combines a strong technical background in Finite Element Analysis using Ansys and Hypermesh, with proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a team of engineers.Experience in the aerospace, aero engine, mechanical transmissions, turbo-machinery, and Industrial rotating machines sectors is highly valuedKey Responsibilities:• Lead and coordinate a team of FEM engineers working on structural analysis• Plan, assign, and monitor simulation activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.• Provide technical guidance and support in advanced FEA using Ansys and HyperMesh.• Ensure compliance with internal processes, quality standards, and customer requirements.• Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and project teams to support product development and optimization.• Support team members’ growth through mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluation.• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in simulation methodologies and workflows.Work ExperienceRequired Qualifications:• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.• Several years of hands-on experience in finite element modeling and analysis of mechanical components, preferably in the aero engine, aerospace industry, mechanical transmissions, and Industrial rotating machines (i.e. turbines, compressors, pumps).• Expertise in Ansys Mechanical and HyperMesh for linear/non-linear static, dynamic, and thermal analyses.• Strong understanding of material models, meshing strategies, boundary conditions, and result interpretation.• Proven experience in leading technical teams or people management roles.• Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Nice to have:• Experience with fatigue, fracture mechanics, and life prediction methodologies.• Programming/scripting skills for analysis automation (APDL, Python, etc.)Additional requirement: In accordance with applicable national security regulations, this position may involve access to classified information or participation in restricted programs.
