We are looking for a System Engineer with a background in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a similar field, and 1–2 years of experience in the Automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the development and implementation of advanced Connectivity System features/functions;
* Ensuring that the function is aligned with the overall business strategy and goals;
* Project status reporting in internal and external meetings;
* Writing Requirements and Functional Specifications;
* Interfacing with stakeholders to discuss system architecture(s) through workshops and design meetings;
* Issue tracking and defect analysis;
* Analyzing and evaluating performance to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for changes;
* Supplier steering and coordination.
Required Qualifications
* Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or similar;
* 1-2 year of experience in the Automotive field (Tier1/OEMs);
* Knowledge of Connectivity/Infotainment System Architecture including hardware, software and user interfaces;
* Knowledge of operating system concepts, such as process management, memory management, file systems and power management;
* Knowledge of automotive standard protocols, such as CAN and Ethernet;
* Knowledge of security principles and best practices for securing Linux systems;
* Experience with version control systems, such as Git;
* Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex systems;
* Knowledge of open-source software development and licensing;
* Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall;
* Knowledge of software programming languages, such as C, C++, Python, and Java;
* Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems;
* Knowledge of project management tools, such as Jira;
* Familiarity with GNU/Linux and Android operating systems;
* Familiarity with software testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing;
Soft Skills
* Sense of integrity and responsibility;
* Take on responsibility, work independently, being able to share achievements with the team;
* Show initiative and work in a structured way;
* Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.
Workplace: Turin (TO) with availability to travel in Italy and abroad.
