Quanex, a global leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Digital Product Manager to join Quanex at our Italian plant in Budrio (BO). The role is reported directly to the Director of Product. We are looking for a digitally skilled professional to support the evolution of the digital experience across our hardware product portfolio.
The role will initially focus on
leading the implementation of a new B2 B product configurator
for our end customers, managing the project end-to-end, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful launch of a tool that enhances product selection and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
competitive benchmarking
to identify best practices and innovation opportunities in digital product configuration and customer experience.
Select and manage the
external software provider responsible for the configurator solution
, overseeing timelines, deliverables, budget, and performance.
Lead the end-to-end implementation
and continuous improvement of the company's B2 B product configurator, defining requirements, configuration logic, and user experience standards.
Collaborate closely with R& D, Marketing, Sales, and IT
to translate product complexity into intuitive digital configuration tools and ensure seamless system integration.
Support product launches by developing and updating configuration rules, digital assets, and user documentation in partnership with Marketing Communication and After Sales.
Develop and
manage training materials
to enable internal teams and customers to effectively use the configurator and related digital tools.
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and governance of product data across the configurator and all connected digital platforms.
Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and usage data to continuously optimize the configurator and enhance the overall digital product experience.
Your Credentials
Background in engineering, Industrial Design, UX/UI Design, Business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in product management, technical marketing, or digital tool development for industrial or hardware products.
Strong analytical skills and experience with competitive benchmarking.
Familiarity with product configurators, CAD/PLM systems, or similar digital platforms.
Fluent in English (written and spoken) and Italian.
