We are seeking a Technical Product Marketing Manager who combines deep technical knowledge with strategic marketing skills to develop go-to-market plans for our security and compliance portfolio. This hands-on, multidisciplinary role requires close collaboration with product managers, engineering, and security experts to understand technical offerings and translate them into compelling messaging and content. You will also work with content, sales, and marketing teams to drive awareness, adoption, and growth.
The ideal candidate is a technologist who enjoys understanding product details and communicating their value to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are motivated by ownership, curiosity, and comfortable operating at the intersection of product and marketing. You thrive on hands-on work, problem-solving, experimentation, and building scalable marketing systems.
This role reports to the Product Marketing Lead within the product marketing team.
Location: This role is remote within the EMEA region.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading go-to-market strategy and execution for Canonical's security and compliance products, including messaging and positioning.
* Tracking competitive landscape and emerging trends to define product differentiation and value drivers.
* Collaborating with engineering and product teams to understand roadmaps and customer use cases.
* Translating technical capabilities into clear messaging for key personas, including Executives, DevSecOps, and platform teams.
* Owning campaign and content planning for the security portfolio.
* Using data and insights to improve demand generation strategies and optimize conversion.
* Planning events, webinars, and supporting messaging for paid and social media promotion.
Qualifications:
* Experience in marketing for enterprise IT products.
* Passion for cybersecurity and cybersecurity marketing.
* Strong academic background from high school through university.
* Confidence in speaking up, exchanging feedback, and sharing ideas.
* Proven track record of exceeding expectations.
* Passion for technology demonstrated through personal projects.
* Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
* Self-motivated and thoughtful.
* Result-oriented with a drive to meet commitments.
* Willingness to travel internationally four times a year.
