PURPOSE OF POSITION
Sales engineer plays a critical role in managing the entire sales process to close new business opportunities, collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, and provide sales support and identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
CORE REPONSIBILITIES
Sales
* Formulate strategies to achieve allocated sales target and objectives.
* Responsible to create opportunity for presentations to customers, to create awareness of company’s products and solutions.
* Gather information on potential customers and projects through various sources, i.e. clients, tenders, papers and web portals.
* Coordinate with internal departments on customers’ requirements, issue quotation and follow up the quotation with the customers.
* Source for competitors’ information on pricing, distributing channels, promotions and product within the industry.
Customer Relation
* Undertake pre-sales and/or post sales technical support, including project supervision, commissioning and maintenance services to the customers.
* Maintaining strong relationships with existing customers; new customer sources include local authorities, consultants, contractors, trading companies and developers.
* Travel to sites as requested by customers with the purpose of educating them on installation or resolving on-site issues related to our products and solutions.
* Addressing and resolve any complaints from the client.
Credit Management
* Propose and update to the management on clients’ credit facilities and assist in updating and monitoring the progress of those facilities.
REQUIREMENT
* Minimum diploma or degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical), Business or related field.
* At least 5 to 8 years working experience in sales / marketing environment.
* Other working experience in the construction industry will be considered.
* Ability to identify opportunities from varies platform that may contribute to business opportunity.
* Possess strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge in other languages or dialect is an added advantage.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Self-motivated, resourceful, mature, and highly initiative to work independently in a pressured environment.
