To bring this vision to life in Italy, we are hiring a **Digital Strategy Account Director, Connected Storytelling**. This is an exciting opportunity to set up Digital for Italy, drive our digital capabilities across the EMEA region and lead our diverse portfolio of clients.
We currently have approx. 50 staff across our Italian offices in Milan and Rome; we create award-winning creative communication programmes for our clients, at a local and an international level across corporate reputation, food & beverage, health, tourism and technology sectors
**The Role**
We are looking for someone with a real passion for using digital, social and content to amplify campaigns, who can partner with their clients, work on unlocking briefs and ultimately ensure that client expectations are not only met but exceeded
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Set up Digital for Italy in a start-up atmosphere by leveraging the EMEA network as well as the regional lead's support
- Work with international teams in collaborating on digital solutions for Italy
- Ensure digital, along with social and content is at the forefront of briefs, integrated into the team's thinking and responses to both new business and existing client proposals
- Become the Digital evangelist, upskill the Italian team as well as clients on Digital, Social, Content
- Proactively identify digital opportunities on existing clients and new business processes
- Develop digital marketing / content plan, strategies and content that helps sell our integrated offer to existing clients, new clients and within the company
- Responsibility for delivering digital and integrated projects from brief to handover
- Managing and developing client relationships, exhibiting best practice in client handling
- Counselling clients confidently and maturely on communications including digital, social, and content creation
- Drive every aspect of creating and implementing innovative digital programmes
- Full responsibility for overall financial management - forecasting, hours allocation for any team members used, project & plan budgeting, managing servicing levels
- Overseeing quality and operational performance of the digital output, ensuring work quality and deadline adherence, providing coaching and development for broader team members
- Leading new business pitches including developing proposals and managing the junior teams' input
- Network and build relationships into the EMEA digital network
**Experience**:
- Min. 7-8 years of working in digital and social within an agency, marketing firm or editorial digital publisher
- Track record in content and social strategies, audience planning/mapping, community management
- An understanding of owned, earned, and paid media and the influencer marketing landscape for Italy
- Experience working across B2B and B2C clients
- An eye for digital innovation, trends, and a heart for good creative
- Strong communications skills, verbal and written - able to develop high-quality strategy, write documents and proposals
- Leadership experience, entrepreneurial self-starter, setting up budgets, requirements, planning, staffing and financial proposals for clients
- Experience with working with in-house content creation teams as well as external agencies and vendors
- Great collaborator, internal connector, and relationship builder
- Confident digital counsel to clients on strategic digital work
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage expectations against budgets / results
- Strong knowledge of the Italian digital landscape including social platforms and technology
- A solid understanding of the principles of content marketing and the ability to convey them both internally and to clients
- English proficiency level is mandatory
