We are looking for a Pre‑Sales Manager for Secondary Medium‑Voltage Switchgears, to be hired with a permanent contract, in Milan within the Electrification and Automation Area. Your Challenge As a Pre‑Sales Manager for Secondary Medium Voltage Switchgears, you will play a pivotal role in shaping tailored technical and commercial proposals for end users and industrial customers. Acting as a key interface between the Sales team and Engineering, you will be responsible for identifying the most competitive and technically sound solutions, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, project specifications, and sustainability standards. You will lead the entire pre‑sales process – from prescription to bid – ensuring that offers are delivered on time, with full technical integrity and in compliance with international standards for air‑insulated switchgear. Your deep understanding of advanced grid technologies and your ability to balance performance, cost‑efficiency, and innovation will be essential in building customer trust and long‑term partnerships. In close collaboration with the Sales Department and Management, you will define pricing strategies and discount policies to maximise margin while remaining competitive. You will also ensure a smooth transition to the execution phase by coordinating with project teams for a seamless hand‑over. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and business, and who is passionate about delivering high‑value, sustainable solutions in the energy distribution sector. Some of the main activities will be: Create project designs and develop the best configuration (technical and economical) according to customer and design offices requirement based on the available portfolio. Handle the whole bid phases in autonomy, according to the Customer and Company's requirements, ensuring high quality of the offers for Secondary Medium Voltage Switchgears and reporting periodically the status and strategy to Management. Standardisation of proven concept and solutions to replicate them as function packages. Develop customers knowledge and relationships, supporting the dedicated Sales Cluster(s) and with specific meetings at customer's premises when required. Coordinate all concerned Stakeholders (Sales, Procurement, Third Parties) to ensure a consistent offer regarding: Technical, Contractual, Pricing, Risks and Safety issues. Collaborate with Head–Quarter, Factories, Regional Countries and with the Products Managers. To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have: Experience in offering of MV Switchgears and/or product marketing and/or product management Knowledge of MV distribution and renewables market, electrical systems, in particular on MV distribution network, and understanding of electrical schemes and tender specifications.
