Their Photonics & Imaging Strategic Business Unit (SBU) is a market leader, catering to demanding, high-reliability (High-Rel) sectors such as Defense, Space, Medical and Transportation.On behalf of this client, we are searching for a strategic, technical, and dynamic:SALES MANAGER - IMAGING & PHOTONICSMILANOThe role:The successful candidate will lead the commercial strategy across the Italian territory, managing and motivating a high-performing technical sales team. You will be fully responsible for achieving monthly and quarterly sales budgets, managing strategic Key Accounts, and developing long-term commercial relationships with international tier-1 represented suppliers.Key responsibilities:Sales Leadership & SBU ManagementLead, motivate, and develop the technical sales team, enhancing their engineering backgrounds, personal skills, and solution-selling capabilitiesOptimize market and product segmentation throughout the national territory to maximize team performance and sales efficiencyDesign and execute comprehensive product and sales training programs for the entire sales staff to maintain a sharp competitive edgeCommercial Strategy & Business DevelopmentMaximize SBU revenues by increasing lead conversion rates and driving sales growth across a diverse portfolio of international brandsPersonally manage Key Account Customers and spearhead the development of high-value, long-cycle projectsFocus heavily on capturing opportunities within High-Rel applications (Defense, Space, Medical, and Transportation)Partner closely with the Marketing department to identify new opportunities through targeted campaigns, trade shows, and technical seminarsSupplier Management & Executive ReportingManage commercial relationships with represented international suppliers/principals in Italy; negotiate annual sales targets, drive joint marketing plans, streamline lead management, and organize strategic customer site visitsConduct monthly reviews of SBU sales numbers and performance reports directly with the Italian Managing Director.Professional offer:A key position within the local country leadership team with a direct impact on corporate strategyA dynamic, high-growth environment backed by an established, prestigious international groupHighly competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, Gross Annual Salary from € 65.000 to € 80.000 based on seniority and experiencePerformance BonusCompany CarRequired specifications:Experience: Senior B2B solution/service sales and business development background within the electronics, optics, or high-tech components sectorTechnical Knowledge: Solid, specialized knowledge of Photonics & Imaging technologies is mandatoryLeadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and upskill technical sales teams (experience managing technical sales engineers or technical specialists is highly valued)Track Record: Tangible history of driving top-line revenue growth, improving results month-by-month, and managing complex, long-cycle sales pipelinesSupplier & Relationship Management: Proven experience interfacing with international principals/suppliers and managing high-level, multicultural business relationshipsMindset: Proactive networker, flexible and broadminded with a disciplined "can-do" attitude, comfortable working in a matrix organizationLanguages: Fluency in English and Italian (both written and spoken) is essential for interacting with Group leadership and international partners.
