Job Description: We are looking for a Retail District Manager W/M whose main goal is to drive the retail business for all Salomon Brand Stores and Factory Outlets in Italy in order to meet the agreed P&L targets by focusing on the management of his/her Store Teams, pricing and promotional activities and consumer service excellence. As a key member of the Salomon Global Operations Team, you will be in charge of: Financial and P&L goals achievement: - Set P&L and KPI’s targets for your store network in accordance with global retail HQ, including input for new store business plan - Deliver and optimize the Brand Store/Factory Outlet P&L goals of your district - Build the yearly commercial animation calendar with the store managers - Support day to day business (in-store too if crucially needed) - suggest allocation and implementation improvements to hit the commercial momentums and store specific needs to improve the overall store productivity - drive staff labour productivity in accordance with the global retail HQ targets People management and training: - Manage directly 10-15 store managers (Brand Stores/Factory Outlet Stores) - Guarantee a consistent and sustainable training program to the store staff associates with explicit standards - Recruit and onboard Store Managers when needed and supervise the selection of the Assistant Store Managers and other key roles in store (VMC/TC/ ) - Set and drive Individual Development Plan for “talents” - Set and drive PIP for underperforming managers - Use mystery shopping as a training program to monitor the consumer service Store Operations Procedures: - Implement the retail operations guidelines as defined by Global Retail - Monitor a loss prevention program to protect the company inventory and assets - Responsible for the product inventory (shrinkage KPI’S) and optimize Retail stock level - Follow and support the new store / refit opening and store closing processes - Secure VM standards are respected Reporting: - Update and send the required reports to HQ - Weekly business clip and monthly district reports - Create own ad-hoc reports to Investigate, analyse and recommend potential business or procedures and processes improvements. You will report directly to the Senior District Manager. Qualifications: Needed work experience: - Min 10 years of Retail experience and management: - 5 years of Brand Stores / Factory Outlet District Management experience Education:MA, BA (or equivalent) in Economics, Business Administration or similar degree Foreign Language(s): - English and Italian fluent mandatory - French is a plus IT skills: - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, POWER BI) Other skills: - Collaborative and diverse relationships both internally and externally - Long term planning/growth mindset - Negotiation and communication skills - Ability to coach and lead teams - Strong business acumen and accuracy of all data & information reported - Output orientation and proactive - Sense of customer service Additional Information Permanent Contract, Full Time Located in Italy (ideally around Milano) with regular pan-European travel required (80%) What we offer: You will be working with a lot of talented people with a passion for sales and for the outdoor industry.
