Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for motivated technologists who have a desire to work in the cloud computing industry, where you will build your technical skills as well as learn from top subject matter experts and industry thought leaders. You will partner with customers and several AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems. As a trusted customer advocate, the technical account manager will help organizations understand best practices around cloud‐based solutions, diagnose and reproduce technical issues with our technology products, provide ongoing support and technical guidance, and proactively keep your customers' AWS environments operationally healthy. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of AWS within organizations ranging from start‐ups to large enterprise customers. Travel of 10% or more may be required.
Key Job Responsibilities
Build a strong foundation of knowledge around AWS cloud services and the cloud ecosystem.Work with customers of all sizes to execute on the Enterprise Support value proposition of AWS.Assist with operational support needs for customers already using AWS.Collaborate with experienced technical account managers to craft and share best‐practice knowledge among the AWS communities.Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.Effectively represent AWS within a customer's environment and drive discussions regarding incidents, trade‐offs and risk management.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, Cloud Architect, Service Delivery Manager, etc.Expertise in two or more technical domains (e.g., System administration, networking, programming, dev‐ops, security, compute, storage, databases, big data, analytics, etc.).Internal enterprise or external customer‐facing experience with the ability to clearly articulate to small and large audiences.Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast‐paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a customer‐facing technical role or internal enterprise support environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly to various audiences.Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or an equivalent STEM field.Experience working with enterprise customers.Background in operational services or technical support environment.Hands‐on experience with AWS services and/or other cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
