Molteni&C,is a leading brand in high-end contemporary furniture and design, is looking for a Retail Area Manager to support its commercial growth in the South East Asia region.

The Retail Area Manager is responsible for driving retail performance, market development, and brand presence across key markets in the region. The role manages a network of directly operated stores and/or partner-operated points of sale, ensuring consistent execution of the brand experience, product presentation, sales performance, and commercial growth. This position works closely with APAC leadership and global retail teams to strengthen the regional retail model, expand market penetration, and deliver a premium customer experience aligned with global brand standards.

After an induction in the Headquarter in Italy, relocation to Hong Kong will be needed.

Retail Performance & Business Growth

* Achieve sales and profitability targets for the assigned region through structured commercial planning and continuous performance improvement.
* Analyze market trends, store KPIs, product mix, and customer behaviors to optimize assortment and merchandising strategies.
* Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including new store openings, new partners, and channel expansion in alignment with APAC strategic priorities.
* Ensure store teams and retail partners maintain a rigorous focus on conversion, CRM usage, client follow-up, and high-touch clienteling standards.

Store Operations & Execution Excellence

* Conduct regular store visits to evaluate operational standards, visual presentation, customer experience, and team engagement.
* Ensure consistent implementation of brand retail guidelines, service protocols, VM standards, and product display principles.
* Provide structured feedback and action plans to store managers and partners to enhance store-level performance.
* Oversee operational efficiency, inventory coordination, and sales floor readiness across the region.

Training, Development & Brand Culture

* Deliver ongoing training to store teams and retail partners on brand heritage, product knowledge, storytelling, and client engagement techniques.
* Assess training needs by market and define tailored development plans to elevate retail skill levels and customer experience.
* Act as a brand ambassador, reinforcing consistent tone of voice, culture, and retail identity across all customer touchpoints.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Partner with Marketing to support retail activations, local events, digital campaigns, and VM implementation to enhance store traffic and brand visibility.
* Collaborate with Product and Merchandising to align assortment and stock levels with regional demand and market trends.
* Coordinate with Architecture/Store Planning to support new openings, renovations, and floorplan optimization.
* Work with Finance, Legal, and Operations on commercial agreements, credit management, compliance, and administrative processes.

Reporting & Market Insights

* Provide regular reporting to APAC leadership on commercial performance, store KPIs, market dynamics, and competitive movements.
* Maintain accurate sales forecasting, territory plans, and CRM activity documentation to ensure strategic visibility and decision alignment.

Basic requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in retail management preferably in premium/luxury, design, lifestyle, or furniture industry.
* Proven track record of driving retail performance across multiple stores and/or multiple markets.
* Commercial skills, strong understanding consumer behaviors, and partner/channel structures.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to coach and inspire diverse retail and partner teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
* Passion for design.
* Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional SEA regional language is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
