Ph3Sr. Systems (Presales) Engineer - Italy (Rome-based) /h3pNutanix is looking for a bSenior Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales) /b to support our bPublic Sector customers in Italy /b, based in Rome. In this role, you will be a trusted technical advisor, working closely with Sales to understand customer challenges and design solutions that leverage Nutanix’s hybrid multicloud platform. /ppYou will play a critical role in guiding public sector organizations through their modernization journey, acting in a consultative capacity and being recognized as a technical expert by customers, internal teams, and stakeholders. /ph3About the Team /h3pYou will join a collaborative and customer-focused pre-sales team that partners closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering. The team is driven by technical excellence, integrity, and a strong sense of ownership in delivering secure, scalable, and resilient solutions for complex environments. /ph3Your Role /h3pAct as the bprimary technical pre-sales advisor /b for assigned Public Sector accounts /ppUnderstand customer business drivers and translate them into beffective Nutanix-based solutions /b /ppProvide technical leadership across the sales cycle, including brequirements discovery, solution design, and proposal development /b /ppClearly articulate the value, features, and benefits of Nutanix products and solutions to both technical and executive audiences /ppDeliver compelling bproduct demonstrations, presentations, and technical briefings /b, including support for events and roadshows /ppDesign, manage, and execute bsolution evaluations and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) /b to support sales opportunities /ppServe as a technical interface between Sales, pre-sales, and customer technical teams, driving issues to resolution and managing escalations when required /ppCollaborate with Product Management to communicate bcustomer feedback, feature requests, and roadmap considerations /b /ppProvide reporting and insights on customer engagements and field activities to Sales, Product Management, and Engineering /ph3What You’ll Bring /h3pProven experience engaging with customers at bboth C-level and technical leadership level /b /ppStrong technical credibility and ability to influence architectural decisions /ppSolid background in bvirtualization technologies, data center consolidation, and server/storage solutions /b /ppA hands‑on, proactive mindset with a strong sense of accountability /ppExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly /ppStructured, analytical thinker with strong bpresentation and problem‑solving skills /b /ppAbility to manage multiple priorities and execute detailed action plans effectively /ppHighest standards of personal and professional integrity /ppWillingness to travel occasionally as required /ph3Experience Qualifications /h3pb7+ years /b in a customer‑facing technical role (Pre‑Sales, Systems Engineering, or similar) /ppDemonstrated experience selling bstorage and virtualization solutions /b /ppProven expertise aligned with the technical requirements to sell Nutanix products and services /ppBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience /ppbFluent Italian and English /b (written and spoken) /ph3E‑EO Statement /h3pbNutanix is an equal opportunity employer. /b /ppNutanix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and (in the U.S.) an Affi­cative Action employer.
