About the role A Front Desk Agent / Receptionist ensures guests have a pleasant experience by performing essential customer‑service duties such as check‑in/check‑out, reservations, and issue resolution. Key Responsibilities
Welcome, greet and appreciate guests for using the establishment. Perform guest check‑in and check‑out duties. Address guest’s needs and resolve concerns and complaints. Take online and phone reservations. Collect guest information, including contact details and stay dates. Assign rooms and hand out keys. Prepare bills and take payments. Take and pass on messages to guests and act on requests efficiently. Manage all reception operations: currency exchange, invoicing, accommodation, information, bookings, and concierge services. Respond to all guest questions and requests with personalised service. Maintain a high level of customer service and quality standards. Coordinate with the Front Office Manager to handle customer complaints. Ensure effective communication and coordination between the hotel’s departments (Housekeeping, F&B). Coordinate front‑desk security to maintain safety and manage key inventory and guest belongings. Manage the hotel’s general mailbox by replying to and redirecting emails. Assist with administrative tasks at the front desk, preparing and submitting operational reports on time. Keep workspaces tidy and the hotel entrance pleasant. Keep all front‑desk equipment clean and in good working condition.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position. Well‑groomed appearance, strong service mindset, and excellent interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, team spirit, and initiative. Experience in hotel reception, ideally within a high‑end establishment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera software is an advantage. Fluent in Italian and English; a third language is a plus. Availability, flexibility, and motivation to thrive in a demanding environment.
