Technical Sales Specialist, Indirect Markets – Europe Central\nWhat if the work you did every day could impact the lives of people you know? Or all of humanity? Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world‑changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.\nAs a Technical Sales Specialist in Europe Central, you will play a key role in driving adoption of Illumina’s library preparation solutions across indirect markets. You will guide customers across the full NGS workflow from sample preparation to data interpretation, ensuring rapid implementation and strong customer experience. You will work closely with Channel Partners, Partner Account Managers, Sales Specialists and Product teams. This role focuses on pre‑sales technical expertise, supporting customers and partners, and helping accelerate the use of Illumina’s sample‑to‑answer solutions. In this role, you will demonstrate Illumina’s value of Make Customers Heroes by anticipating needs and enabling customer success.\nIllumina's employee benefits are industry‑leading and include flexible time off, private medical insurance, compassion and care time off, leisure travel insurance, pension, employee stock purchasing program, volunteer time off, and much more.\nWHY YOU\nYou bring strong scientific expertise in sequencing and library preparation, ideally across areas such as DNA, RNA, scRNA, spatial, methylation or proteomics. You may have a PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Chemistry or Biochemistry, or an MSc with relevant laboratory experience. You have experience supporting customers in a technical or field‑based environment and are comfortable travelling up to 60 percent across the region. You communicate clearly in English, with additional languages such as Polish or Czech considered an advantage. You enjoy partnering with others, take ownership of outcomes and thrive in solution‑based customer environments.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE\n\nProvide expert consultation across the NGS workflow from sample preparation to data analysis\nSupport customers with assay design, application guidance and data interpretation\nDeliver workflow demonstrations, presentations and pre‑sales technical discussions\n\nChannel Partner Collaboration\n\nPartner with Channel Partners, PAMs and Sales Specialists to drive library prep adoption\nTrain Channel Partners, PAMs, DSMs and ISAMs on Illumina solutions\nContribute to strategic territory planning\n\nCustomer Success and Workflow Adoption\n\nGuide customers through project scoping and planning\nSupport assay design and use of DesignStudio, including reviewing or creating designs\nMonitor consumables usage trends and take corrective action when needed\n\nMarket Engagement and Field Insights\n\nRepresent Illumina at conferences, tradeshows and workshops\nProvide field insights and competitive feedback to leadership and Product Management\nSupport new product launches and discontinuation activities\n\nCross‑Functional Collaboration\n\nWork closely with Sales, Service and Support teams to ensure seamless customer experience\nEscalate technical issues to the appropriate Technical Support teams\n\nWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT\nOur team members are bright, energetic and dedicated – they are the driving force behind our innovation and impact.
