Job Description:
Rakuten TV is a leading streaming platform available in 42 European countries, offering premium Hollywood and local content through various access types: Transactional Video-on-demand (buy or rent movies), AVOD (ad-supported on-demand content), and FAST (linear free TV channels with ads). Rakuten TV is part of Rakuten Group, a global leader in internet services, focusing on e-commerce, fintech, and digital content.
To support its expansion in Europe and strengthen its team, we are seeking a Sales Manager based in Italy. Your role will involve commercializing Rakuten TV's advertising inventory by building and developing relationships with advertisers, agencies, and trading desks. The goal is to generate revenue by executing digital marketing strategies across channels, including performance marketing, and monetizing premium digital advertising inventory through direct and programmatic transactions supported by Rakuten Advertising’s platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Identify decision-makers and budget holders within organizations, understanding their needs and revenue opportunities.
* Create tailored sales pitches to address prospects’ and clients’ challenges.
* Present and advise on projects primarily to advertisers, as well as agency media buyers and client directors.
* Close sales by signing contracts and coordinating product delivery.
* Participate in strategic planning and market intelligence to keep the sales team informed about market trends and competitors.
* Prepare reports on your activities.
* Lead client interviews with the Account Manager team to ensure project progress.
* Identify dysfunctions and collaborate with the Account Manager and Business Intelligence teams to provide solutions.
REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
* Business degree with successful experience in online and/or offline advertising markets.
* Understanding of linear and digital/video sales, including programmatic buying models.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Established network with top digital agencies and knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem.

* Fluency in Italian and good proficiency in English.
