Competencies
- Strong technical background in mathematics, science, and computer science; knowledge of thermal laws, norms, and standards.
- Proficiency with thermal technology and control components (HP, MLIs, radiators, coatings, thermal interface materials, heaters, thermistors).
- Experience with Ansys Icepak, Ansys Fluent, Mentor Flotherm.
- Thermal modelling, junction temperature, thermal resistance, electronics cooling.
- Thermal testing: temperature, humidity, salt fog, pressure tests.
- Problem‑solving, decision‑making, multitasking, and meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Perform hardware engineering activities related to thermal engineering.
- Analyse and define thermal needs using advanced studies, simulations, mock‑ups, models, prototypes.
- Describe thermal functions and requirements; formalise specifications and architectural designs.
- Identify critical development problems and assist in their resolution.
- Write timely and technically accurate reports of technical findings.
- Participate in thermal testing activities and correlate analysis with test results.
- Validate thermal compliance of systems and components against group standards.
- Design and develop effective cooling systems and propose improvements.
