The role focuses on developing, integrating, and validating control algorithms for automotive systems using model-based design methodologies. You will collaborate closely with system, controls, and software engineers to deliver high-quality embedded software solutions for the next generation of vehicles. Main Responsibilities: Design and develop control algorithms and application software using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow. Generate, test, and integrate autocoded software (C/C++) for embedded controllers. Conduct model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations. Perform debugging, validation, and calibration activities to ensure functionality, robustness, and compliance with requirements. Collaborate with systems, calibration, and testing teams to align software functionality with vehicle performance goals. Support code reviews, documentation, and adherence to ASPICE and functional safety (ISO 26262) processes. Required Skills & Tools: Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and embedded software development. Strong understanding of control theory, vehicle dynamics, or powertrain systems (ICE, HEV, BEV). Experience with auto-code generation and embedded C/C++ development. Familiarity with HIL testing, CAN/LIN communication, and diagnostic protocols (UDS, DTCs). Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent). Experience in model-based development for automotive applications. Knowledge of functional safety, ASPICE, or ISO 26262 processes. Experience with ETAS INCA, dSPACE, Vector tools, or CANalyzer.
