All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.As a Prime Video technologist, you'll have end‐to‐end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state‐of‐the‐art experiences for our customers. You'll work on fast‐paced, challenging projects, experiment with new possibilities, take risks, and collaborate with remarkable people.We look for a seasoned product leader with strong domain expertise in video ad insertion technologies, programmatic, and related technical and compliance standards (e.g., VAST/VMAP, oRTB, Open Measurement, TCF, GPP). The preferred candidate will have a broad and deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem, proven ability to influence and drive vision, goals, and launch complex products across large organizations.Key responsibilities include:
Drive vision, roadmap, and new feature requirements for Prime Video Ads supply‐side tech.Align with engineering, business, and other stakeholders on priority and crawl/walk/run phases.Work across multiple internal orgs and teams as well as external vendors and industry bodies to stay industry aware and customer focused.Define SMART goals to establish and maintain Prime Video as the best ad‐supported streaming service for viewers and advertisers.Write compelling PRFAQs, narratives, BRDs, and vision docs, and convince stakeholders with data and anecdotes.Earn trust with engineering counterparts while seeing the broader business impact.
About the team: We focus on unlocking new supply & demand and crafting the most potent and privacy‐safe bid requests, impressions, and currency integrations for customers, advertisers, and content partners. We own Prime Video's core advertising technologies (ad stitching and insertion, integrations with ad‐servers, new supply onboarding & automation, ad/audience/currency measurement, targeting signals and relevancy inputs, trust & policy products, and impression loss analytics and monitoring).Basic Qualifications
2+ years of end‐to‐end product delivery experience5+ years of technical product or program management experienceBachelor's degreeExperience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a productExperience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a productExperience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definitionExperience managing technical products or online servicesExperience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive‐level prioritization and planning
