Position: CAW Electrical Technician
Responsibilities
* Perform electrical demolition as required for renovation projects.
* Construct and install power and lighting systems infrastructure and equipment according to contract drawings and specifications.
* Diagnose electrical problems using diagrams or blueprints.
* Inspect, troubleshoot, and test electrical systems and equipment.
* Pinpoint problems using testing devices.
* Install Fire Alarm infrastructure and devices.
* Install & program Intrusion Detection Systems and Access Control Systems.
* Install CAT 6 and Fiber Optic Cabling, including terminations.
* Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations of the National Electrical Code & USACE EM-385-1-1.
* Construct and install RF Shielding & STC Mitigation equipment/materials per ICD / ICS 705, UFC 4-010-05, and best practices guidelines.
* Collaborate with and assist all trades on project site.
Qualifications
* Minimum qualification: a bachelor's degree, or an associate's degree plus 4 years of recent specialized experience, or a high school diploma plus 8 years of recent specialized experience.
* Current DoD Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one; must be a US citizen.
* Experience with U.S. Federal government projects and complex construction projects.
* Knowledge of construction trades coordination, ICD / ICS 705, UFC 4-010-05, and safety standards per the National Electrical Code & USACE EM385-1-1.
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with low voltage cabling and terminations (e.g., fire alarm and DDC / BAS systems) preferred.
* Valid 10-year passport with at least 2 years remaining, or a valid 4-year passport with at least 2 years remaining preferred.
