Position Summary
This is a strategic sales role requiring in-depth knowledge of how technology enables business goals or addresses challenges. It involves strategic planning and tactical execution of business opportunities. The role manages relationships with large, strategic accounts, ensuring revenue goals are met. It requires building and maintaining relationships at relevant levels, developing opportunities across the F5 portfolio, and effectively selling solutions and services. The role involves partnering with systems integrators, service providers, and VARs, and is a quota-carrying individual contributor position.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for major accounts, maintaining high-level executive relationships.
Sell F5 products and services, expand and retain accounts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Identify and qualify business opportunities, address competitive threats.
Prepare proposals, deliver presentations, lead negotiations, and close sales professionally.
Manage key partner relationships, facilitating communication between stakeholders.
Stay informed on industry trends, technical developments, and regulations.
Understand client needs and communicate how F5 solutions address them.
Research potential customers, follow up on leads, and close deals.
Develop market strategies aligned with account goals.
Coordinate account strategies with sales support teams.
Ensure accurate sales forecasting, maintain Salesforce data.
Develop account profiles and strategies for sustained success.
Report regularly on account status and issues.
Meet or exceed sales quotas and revenue targets.
Potentially lead sales teams focused on strategic accounts.
Build credibility as a trusted resource and industry expert.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Significant relevant work experience.
Specialized knowledge in networking products, preferably F5.
Experience with internet software or systems.
Excellent negotiation, closing, and presentation skills.
Strong client interfacing and customer-focused approach.
Ability to work from a home office within the territory.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work may be performed onsite at customer facilities or in an office. Requires computer use, communication over the phone, reading printed material, and travel up to 60%. May include being on call and working outside normal hours.
