Overview ADM is looking for a Senior Sales Manager to lead our Semi-Commodity Business Unit in Italy. This is a key leadership role in a highly strategic market, offering autonomy, visibility, and impact within the organization. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening ADM’s presence by protecting and expanding our client base, fostering sustainable growth, and shaping a long-term sales strategy. Responsibilities Sales & Account Management Lead Semi-Commodity sales activities, including managing and supporting key accounts. Unlock the potential of existing Animal Nutrition business lines while driving new growth opportunities. Manage sales activities with current and prospective customers. Build and sustain long-term, trust-based relationships with all stakeholders. Strategy & Business Development Define and implement a 5-year strategy, aligned with organizational goals and leadership direction. Develop and execute innovative sales and marketing strategies within Italy and across EMEA. Identify and cultivate new business and partnership opportunities. Collaborate with ADM business units across EMEA (GT, FAI Premix, HN) to strengthen synergies and accelerate growth. Financial & Operational Leadership Assume full P&L and risk management responsibility in line with company guidelines. Prepare and oversee sales plans and budgets consistent with the 5-year plan. Provide regular reporting, analytics, and insights to improve sales efficiency. Lead data collection and analysis for trade flows, competitor profiles, and industry reporting. Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration Build and develop high-performing support functions locally and within ADM. Foster collaboration with technical, HR, administrative, production, supply chain, and logistics teams. Encourage a culture of cooperation, respect, and continuous learning. Market Insights & Innovation Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs. Use market insights to refine strategy and drive business development. Skills & Competencies Fluency in Italian and English (French is a plus). Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work independently and under pressure. Proactive, enthusiastic, and results-oriented. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong customer orientation and digital/technology proficiency. Education & Experience Degree in Animal Science and/or Business Administration. At least 3 years of commercial and leadership experience in B2B Animal Nutrition & Feed, or B2B Food & Ingredients. Demonstrated success in growing and managing a sales portfolio. Proven record of increasing revenue through strategic sales initiatives. Experience in P&L management and strategic decision-making. Established network and market knowledge within Animal Feed and Nutrition.
