Business Developer (Laser Communications)

Introduction:
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and strategic Business Developer to take a lead role in the rapidly advancing field of Laser Communication.
If you're passionate about next-generation optical wireless technologies and thrive in fast-paced, high-tech environments, this role offers you the chance to drive global business growth and shape future connectivity solutions.
The Opportunity
You'll join a highly innovative team operating at the intersection of aerospace, telecommunications, and cutting-edge optics.
With strong ambitions to scale and solid technical backing, the company is now looking to expand its market presence across Europe and beyond through strategic partnerships and targeted commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and research prospective global clients, with a focus on the European market
Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders
Coordinate across sales and technical teams to craft winning proposals
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close
Negotiate deal terms aligned with strategic goals
Conduct market research and analyze competitor/customer data
Lead institutional tendering processes (e.g. ESA), from proposal to compliance
Report on pipeline activity, contract status, and partnership progress
Essential Skills and Experience
Degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Proven business development experience in aerospace, telecom, or high-tech sectors
Strong understanding of Lasercom technologies and market trends
Familiarity with ESA and institutional tender processes and funding frameworks
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work cross-functionally across commercial and technical teams
Strong analytical and organizational capabilities
