Role: Sales Area Manager – Central EuropeLocation: Italy or Central Europe (Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Austria)Company OverviewDurante Adesivi is a company based in Italy with over 60 years of experience and a market-leading position in the wood adhesives sector. As part of the Belgian multinational Soudal Group, the company is recognized for continuous innovation across the wood–furniture, packaging and textile industries. Position PurposeThe Sales Area Manager for Central Europe is responsible for developing and managing commercial activities across the assigned territories (Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Austria). The role aims to strengthen market presence, expand customer relationships, support distributors and contribute to the company’s growth objectives.The position may be based either in Italy or in one of the target countries. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular customer visits to increase sales volume and market penetrationManage and develop relationships with direct customers and distribution partnersProvide technical support and training to distributors and end usersCollaborate closely with Product Management teams on new product launches and market introduction plansPrepare and maintain monthly sales forecasts and annual budget proposalsDevelop and maintain a strong understanding of the assigned Central European markets, including competitive landscape, pricing structure, and customer needsBuild and nurture solid business relationships, particularly within German‑speaking marketsEnsure alignment with company commercial strategies and reporting requirements. Required Qualifications & CompetenciesEducation & Technical SkillsDegree or diploma in a chemical or technical fieldSolid knowledge of MS Office tools.Professional ExperiencePrevious sales experience in at least one of the following sectors: adhesives, coatings, wood‑furniture technologies, packaging, or textilesDemonstrated ability to manage both direct customers and distributors.Language SkillsProficiency in German and English (mandatory)Excellent command of French (mandatory)Knowledge of the local language, Italy (nice to have)Soft SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of autonomy, organization and goal orientationAbility to develop long-term relationships and build trust with customersProblem‑solving mindset and adaptability to different marketsMobilityAvailability for frequent travel across Italy and Central Europe.Work ArrangementHybrid working model.Initial training period at the company headquarters in Prata di Pordenone (PN), Italy.Preferred Residence Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Austria, or Italy (ideally within these regions). Additional InformationThis role plays a key part in supporting the company’s international expansion strategy and requires a combination of technical knowledge, commercial skills and cultural adaptability.
