The Sales Engineer is a new role at IXLA, supporting sales operations by providing technical and application support to Sales Managers and Inside Sales. The main activities include technical qualification of opportunities, assessing requirements, and matching them with IXLA products and services.
Sales support will be performed remotely, at IXLA’s main office, or on-site at trade shows or marketing events, involving interaction with customers and partners to discuss sales opportunities.
The Sales Engineer reports to the Sales Director, coordinated by the Inside Sales Manager. The role requires a strong background in document personalization technologies or a willingness to undergo training. A deep understanding of IXLA’s products, industry landscape, and roadmaps is essential.
The position is primarily based at IXLA’s headquarters in Romano Canavese, Italy, offering flexible work arrangements and requiring international travel as needed.

As our Sales Engineer, you will support HID’s success by:
* Understanding customer needs and documenting technical requirements
* Preparing and delivering technical offers
* Supporting sales with technical expertise and documentation
* Responding to technical inquiries and providing pre-sale support
* Organizing benchmarks and samples
* Collaborating with engineering and product teams
* Working with marketing and sales to define procedures and materials
* Attending trade shows, conferences, and industry events as a technical representative
Ideal candidate background:
* Knowledge of equipment used in secure credential personalization
* Experience with laser and inkjet applications
* Marketing experience in secure credential issuance, hardware vendors or integrators preferred
* Familiarity with complex sales processes
Your experience and background:
* High School diploma, preferably technical or business college degree or equivalent experience
* Relevant training and qualifications are a plus
* Experience with laser and/or inkjet credential personalization is a plus
* Ability to prioritize work and work under pressure
* Proven communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
* Problem-solving, flexibility, and teamwork skills
* Quick learner and adaptable to new technologies
