About the job
Based in Naples you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join the NATO Infrastructure Services Centre (NISC), which is accountable for planning and executing the full lifecycle management activities (design, transition and operations) for the identified area of responsibility. NISC provides generic, domain independent, technical functionality that enables and facilitates the operation and use of Information Technology resources.
Roles and responsibilities
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Engineer (Digital Communications Services) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
 * Information security
 * Systems design
 * Network design
 * Network support
 * Systems installation and removal

About you
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
 * A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post‑related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCIA, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
 * At least 2 years practical experience with the designing, implementing, and maintaining the core network architecture for large organizations.
 * Good practical experience configuring, troubleshooting and optimizing routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware/software networking elements.
 * Experience in planning, design, system and services engineering and implementation of communication aspects of C4ISR
 * Proven technical project management/lead experience with LD, LLD, POCT, SAT, etc.
 * Proven experience with design and implementation in large scale networks, across vendors and technologies
 * Fluency in English, both written and spoken
