Senior Business Developer
Summary: The ideal sales figure for Magellan Circle is a senior professional, capable of integrating sales, strategic consulting and digital marketing skills, with a proactive and result-oriented approach, able to bring new customers and develop valuable relationships in the medium to long term.
Objective: To develop Magellan Circle's business, with a focus on acquiring new clients for consulting, communications, marketing and advocacy services.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage a portfolio of new clients for Magellan Circle's consulting, communications, marketing and advocacy services.
* Use digital tools (including AI) and social media to identify, contact, and engage potential customers (social selling).
* Develop and present customized business proposals in line with customer needs and business objectives.
* Collaborate with the internal team to ensure the quality and consistency of the solutions offered.
* Monitor the results of commercial and marketing activities, proposing corrective actions to achieve the objectives.
Qualifications and Key Competencies
* B2B commercial experience: solid experience in selling services to companies and organizations, preferably in the consulting, marketing, communication and advocacy sectors, with reference to ports, shipping and logistics, energy transition, and with primary target the European market. Excellent English and international experience.
* Result orientation: strong ability to generate new leads and convert them into customers, with a focus on concrete and measurable results.
* Social selling and digital networking: ability to use platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram and AI tools for finding new contacts, building trust, and promoting the company’s value. Leverage weak ties to expand prospects.
* Strategic consulting: ability to analyze the market, identify opportunities, assess risks, profile the ideal target customer, and define value propositions for public, institutional and corporate clients; knowledge of procurement dynamics and public–private partnerships.
* Sales process management: autonomous management of the full sales cycle from lead generation through offer presentation, negotiation and contract closing.
* Marketing and communication: knowledge of digital and traditional marketing strategies, ability to propose integrated solutions, and familiarity with stakeholder engagement methodologies.
* Working by objectives: definition and monitoring of clear, measurable objectives for turnover and new customers.
* Flexibility and proactivity: ability to identify new market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and adapt to sector changes.
