Digital Sales Manager – Overview
We are looking for a Digital Sales Manager to lead a complex digital sales organization across three interconnected streams: Outbound Campaign-based Sales/inside Sales, Specialist/Collaborative Sales, and Digital Self-service Channels. The role involves driving performance across telesales campaigns, specialist support to field sales, and online sales channels, ensuring efficiency, conversion, and continuous optimization.
Responsibilities
* Lead a structured sales organization across multiple locations (Milan, Bologna, Tuscany).
* Directly manage a layer of team leaders (manager of managers) responsible for operational teams.
* Drive sales performance through outbound campaigns and manage the full funnel (contacts, conversion, productivity, ROI).
* Oversee external vendors and telesales providers, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with internal standards.
* Implement and monitor a data-driven sales model, leveraging KPIs, dashboards, and analytics to optimize performance.
* Strengthen a collaborative selling model, working closely with other sales channels to increase share of wallet.
* Develop team capabilities, particularly among junior managers, bringing structure, discipline, and scalable processes.
Qualifications
* Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent.
* 8–10 years of experience in sales management roles, preferably within digital sales, inside sales, telesales, or structured outbound campaign environments.
* Experience in B2B contexts with high-volume, fragmented customer bases (SMBs/prosumers).
* Proven experience as a manager of managers, leading structured teams.
* Strong experience in sales funnel management, campaign performance, and conversion optimization.
* Advanced analytical capabilities and a strong data-driven mindset; ability to define KPIs, analyze performance, identify patterns, and drive continuous improvement.
* Experience managing external vendors and outsourced sales teams.
* Exposure to digital/self-service sales channels (e‑commerce, online funnels) is a plus.
* Ability to work across different sales models: efficiency-driven outbound and collaborative selling.
* Fluent in English and Italian.
