Senior Sales Manager - Italy We have two positions - one based in Milan, and one based in Rome. We are looking for TWO Senior District Sales Managers, one based in Milan, one in Rome, to lead our growing teams in Italy. These roles will report to the Sales Director and will manage a team of Territory Account Managers based in Milan (North) or Rome (South). You will be responsible for executing Illumina’s commercial strategies, ensuring that annual sales and profit objectives are met within your designated territories and district. To succeed, you should have a background in life sciences, experience selling technology, medical devices, and capital equipment, familiarity with public tenders, and experience working in a clinical environment. You should be a sales leader with a structured approach, experience in sales and people management, and strong forecasting skills. You will manage teams of successful Territory Account Managers responsible for large quotas in Italy, one of Europe's fastest-growing regions. Key Responsibilities : Develop, implement, and monitor the district business plan to meet revenue and strategic goals. Lead, support, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets. Establish quotas and meet quarterly and annual sales and profit plans. Forecast, monitor, and control expenses within budgets. Accurately forecast customer demand and manage orders and shipments. Ensure sales staff meets forecasts, adheres to policies, and develop improvement plans as needed. Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction. Talent acquisition, development, and performance management. Preferred Background : Significant sales experience in the Life Science industry. Experience in sales management within the Life Science sector. Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels. Effective communication and influence skills, both oral and written.
