Context
* Support and drive deal making across mature brands and innovative assets prior to launch in mature and emerging markets.
* Support and drive divestment / out-licensing activities ranging from deal scoping, market analysis, deal structuring, cross-functional due-diligence project management to contract negotiations for global and regional opportunities.
* Manage due-diligence, data room set-ups, and partner interactions with a good understanding of regulatory, supply chain, finance, commercial, and other functions.
Main Activities & Responsibilities
* Generate new business opportunities by leveraging existing and new networks to create leads.
* Participate in the development of short, mid, and long-term portfolio strategies based on detailed market analysis and insights from relationships.
* Assume or share responsibility for efficient planning and successful implementation of all relevant process steps throughout project execution, based on close alignment with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
* Drive asset scoping, financial analysis, market research, and deal structuring creatively to create viable deals.
* Conceptualize, coordinate, and lead the cross-functional due-diligence process.
* Support or lead interactions and negotiations with partner companies.
Job Requirements
* Education : (mandatory) Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business. (preferred) Master’s degree, possibly an MBA.
* Years of experience : Preferably 5-7 years of deal-making experience in the healthcare space. Commercial and marketing responsibilities in biopharmaceutical space can be considered.
* Qualifications and skills : In-depth understanding and knowledge of pharmaceutical markets, excellent financial acumen, excellent presentation skills, advanced negotiation skills, project management tenacity, recognized as an expert by peers, co-workers, and leaders (inside and outside the company).
* Language skills : Fluent English is a must. Additional European languages at business proficiency level, including German, Italian, or Spanish, are desirable.
* Attitude : The candidate should be driven to perform with high flexibility, a desire to take initiative, the ability to organize oneself and work efficiently, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, the aptitude to work under pressure, collegiality, effective communication skills, self-confidence, self-assessment capability, charisma, and presence.
