Ph3Overview /h3pSales Engineer Industrial - Full Time - Vimodrone (Milano), Italy. Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation. Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society. /ppPurpose of the job: Primarily responsible for sales in the assigned area for all Sulzer portfolio within the Industrial market. Working with regional sales management and supported by regional and global teams, responsible for developing and executing local strategies for profitable growth, supporting the objectives of the overall business plan. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDoor-to-door visits or scheduled appointments. /liliProduct demonstrations. /liliOrder collection and post-sale follow-up. /liliPerformance monitoring and reporting. /liliFull order intake, sales and profit responsibility for Italy (Industry). /liliDefine local plans and actions for the tactical deployment of the Sulzer Industry business unit sales plan within Italy. /liliDefine, develop and execute local plans based on the business strategy to achieve financial and market targets. /liliProvide management feedback on local market conditions, including competitor activity, customer trends, and pump/agitator/compressor investment trends. /liliHomologation of Sulzer as a supplier with key Italian OEMs, EPCs and end users. /liliExecute tendering activities with the local sales support team; supervise and follow up tendering activity; prepare tenders with attention to customer specifications, product selection, pricing, and applicable internal tools and metrics. /liliNegotiations and participation in clarification rounds and kickoff meetings. /liliSupervise order handling, follow up projects from tendering to financial closure, and maintain order backlog for assigned territories/accounts. /liliPlan, direct and control the customer support function in Italy. /liliDevelop and foster relationships with selected key customers. /liliContribute ideas to increase sales effectiveness and participate in company initiatives. /liliMaintain high levels of communication and information sharing with the team. /liliAssist management with reporting (budget, rolling forecast, monthly business report). /liliEnsure compliance with all regulations related to business operations. /liliUnderstand environmental risks and mitigation measures relevant to the role. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3pTo succeed in this role, you will need: /pulliUniversity degree in Engineering or related field / equivalent education. /liliHigh proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. /liliDemonstrable experience with a CRM (Salesforce preferred). /liliERP experience (SAP) is a plus. /liliSolid sales experience in the pump industry; in-depth knowledge of pump, agitation and compression businesses. /liliExperience formulating and implementing a local business strategy. /liliWillingness to travel frequently within the country and occasionally in the region. /li /ulpPersonal strengths: /pulliProduct knowledge and ability to answer questions, overcome objections, and build trust. /liliSales techniques including consultative selling, cross-selling, and up-selling. /liliTime management and independent planning of visits and activities. /liliEffective communication, active listening, and adaptability. /liliEmpathy, resilience, autonomy, determination, and flexibility. /li /ulpOther skills to complete the profile: /pulliProblem solving and conflict management; openness to change; international thinking and acting. /liliAbility to operate at all levels externally and internally; handle confidential matters with integrity. /liliAbility to integrate LEAN directives. /li /ulh3Languages /h3ulliEnglish (mandatory) /liliItalian (mandatory) /liliOther European languages considered a plus /li /ulh3Decision authority /h3pAccording to delegation of authority and respective policies/guidelines.
