For a prestigious international luxury hotel located in Venice, we are seeking a
Director of Sales
with direct responsibility for the commercial development of the USA and Canada markets.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy across the North American, UK, and European markets, increasing revenues, market share, and brand positioning within the luxury leisure, consortia, entertainment, and high-end travel segments.
The role requires a professional with a strong background in luxury hospitality sales, outstanding relationship-building skills, and a well-established network within the North American market, with a particular focus on leading luxury travel advisors, tour operators, and stakeholders in the high-end travel industry.
Scope of Responsibilities
Commercial Performance
Achievement of annual revenue and commercial production targets.
Budget planning and travel plan management for the hotel Sales team.
Continuous analysis of:
Production reports
Collaboration with Revenue Management on:
Need periods
ADR optimization
Occupancy optimization
Focus on inventory mix and suites contribution.
Leisure group business conversion to support seasonality and RevPAR growth
Direct management of key accounts in the USA and Canada markets.
Coordination of Sales team activities including: Contracting, Offers, Promotions, Roadshows, Fam trips, International trade shows, Partnership development
Ongoing relationships with:
Luxury Travel Advisors
DMCs
Travel Designers
Wedding Planners
Business Development & Market Expansion
Definition and implementation of the commercial strategy for the North American market.
Development of new accounts and strengthening of existing strategic relationships.
Oversight of the following segments:
Luxury Leisure
Entertainment & Celebrity Travel
Weddings & Celebrations
UHNW & Family Office Travel
Brand Representation & Positioning
Represent the Brand and the Hotel at major international luxury travel events.
Strengthen the Resort's positioning within the North American, Middle Eastern, and UK luxury markets.
Ensure consistency between brand identity, product, and sales activities.
Guest & Client Relationship
Direct management of relationships with top producers and VIP travel networks.
Development of long-term partnerships with strategic accounts.
Constant focus on guest experience quality and customer loyalty in collaboration with the Hotel Operations Team.
Cross-functional collaboration with: Marketing & PR, Revenue Management, Reservations & Operations.
Interface with ownership regarding revenue performance and reporting.
Experience
Extensive experience in international luxury hospitality.
Minimum 7–10 years in Sales or Business Development roles with a North America focus.
Preferred background from: Luxury Hotels, 5-star Resorts and International Hotel Brands.
Strong network within the USA and Canada luxury travel ecosystem.
Deep knowledge of major consortia and luxury travel channels.
Strong commercial mindset and business development capabilities.
Authoritative leadership style and strong operational autonomy.
Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Strong financial awareness and KPI orientation.
Strategic mindset and analytical skills.
