Manufacturing Project Manager E-Powertrain and Axle-Transmission processes
Responsibilities
* He/she identifies, for each Project under his perimeter of responsibility, the guidelines and proposes technical targets; for example: Quality indexes, Standard time, Plant value added, Equipment efficiency, Ergonomics and “Make or Buy” alternatives (standard FPI.MEP011) in accordance with Platform targets (standard FPI.MEP011).
* He/she consolidates and approves the Feasibility studies including investments, direct labor standard time, plant value added, spending & timing.
* He/she defines, with Competence Leaders, the resources needed to develop the projects.
* He/She coordinates the Central Manufacturing Engineering and Plant resources during the execution of the projects, assuring the implementations of the activities according to the targets.
* He/she takes part, with Product Engineering, in simultaneous engineering activities to support product “design for process.”
* He/she controls the investment in term of commitment and spending assuring the coherence with the approved project budget.
* He/she gives support to Plants in defining and implementing strategic process improvements (Capacity increase, Quality and Efficiency).
* He/she evaluates and validates the plant production capacities and defines the needed interventions to support adequately the volume demand over the years.
* He/she contributes to identify and standardize "best practices" to optimize key processes.
* He/she draws up and approve the “Financial Project Investment” document for Product programs and Process initiatives managed by Manufacturing Engineering to release the purchase requisition.
* He/she approves the Workload related to the activities within his own perimeter.
* He/she shares the documents under ME responsibility referring to Platform Management Review gates and, if necessary, attends related Platform and Quality meetings.
* He/she takes part, with Product Engineering, in simultaneous engineering activities to support product “design for process.”
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Language skills: English (written and spoken).
* At least 5 to 10 years of experience in Manufacturing engineering organization in Central staff or in Plant.
* Investments estimation knowledge about equipment and special purpose machines involved in manufacturing process.
* Effective communication and project presentation capacity, time management ability and problem-solving approach.
* Ability to work in team with accountability.
* CAD 2D-3D Knowledge (nice to have).
