You will be in charge of the complete software development lifecycle: defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features. We care about both delighting customers and high quality software; we don’t sacrifice one for the other. We’re looking for someone with a demonstrated track record of hiring and leading teams of software development engineers to build and run highly‑scalable, global software solutions. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li7+ years of engineering experience. /li li3+ years of engineering team management experience. /li li8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi‑tier web services. /li liKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations. /li liExperience partnering with product or program management teams. /li liExperience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy. /li liExperience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers. /li /ul pOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
