Mission
As part of the RAM department within the RAMS unit, you will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team responsible for RAMS governance. Your missions will include:
1. Leading the execution of the RAM Programme for railway systems, subsystems, and products, in accordance with requirements, guidelines, and standards.
2. Coordinating with prime contractors, subcontractors, and vendors' RAM staff.
3. Producing RAM analysis and verifying RAM requirements.
4. Verifying and approving design, installation, and commissioning of RAM-related requirements across various systems like Train Control, Passenger Vehicles, and others.
5. Supporting engineering and product development teams to ensure maximum reliability and availability.
6. Assisting the commissioning manager in activities to guarantee RAM performance during phases.
7. Performing RAM governance activities and coordinating subsystem RAM referents.
8. Contributing to delivering systems within schedule and budget, reporting to the RAMS Manager or Project Manager.
Accountabilities
Ensure RAM activities are executed throughout project and product lifecycles, in line with Hitachi Rail processes. Responsibilities include:
1. Establishing RAM programmes for projects and products.
2. Planning and managing RAM activities and budgets.
3. Providing early feedback on design to improve reliability.
4. Performing Failure Mode and Effects Criticality Analysis, Reliability modeling (RBDs, FTA, etc.), and Life Cycle Cost analysis.
5. Demonstrating RAM parameters in operation.
6. Applying FRACAS processes.
7. Managing RAM requirements for suppliers and interfaces with other departments.
8. Developing and improving RAM standard processes.
Required Skills
* 5 to 10 years of RAMS experience.
* Knowledge of international standards like EN 50126.
* Background in reliability engineering for industry products/systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of Isograph Reliability Workbench or similar tools.
Education / Qualifications
Technical degree or equivalent technical background.
Languages
* Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
* Knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.
