**About the job**
Based at the San Clemente Palace within the Food & Beverage Department in Venice, the Commis de Rang is responsible for delivering high-level, attentive, and elegant service in the restaurant, ensuring a seamless dining experience for all guests in line with Mandarin Oriental Standards. The Commis de Rang reports to the Chef de Rang.
As Commis de Rang, you will responsible** for the following duties**:
- Assist the Chef de Rang in delivering flawless table service in line with the resort's luxury standards
- Prepare and maintain mise en place for the service area (e.g. cutlery, linens, condiments)
- Welcome guests and ensure their comfort throughout the dining experience
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally
- Clear and reset tables efficiently between courses and after guests depart
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards of the dining area at all times
- Communicate guest needs or special requests to senior staff or the kitchen

- A basic understanding of fine dining service techniques
- Attention to detail and a polished personal presentation
- Team spirit and adaptability in a dynamic, high-end environment
- Previous experience in luxury hotels or upscale restaurants is an advantage
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent English and Italian; additional languages are a plus
