We compare with the best version of ourselves. /p h3What is the role? /h3 pAs a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the development of space systems, including satellites, ground segments, and user devices. Your role involves translating user and stakeholder requirements into detailed system and subsystem specifications, and guiding the engineering teams throughout the system’s lifecycle. You will develop system architectures, manage system validation, and ensure optimal performance from both space and ground components. /p ul liCoordinating the design and development of space systems by breaking down high‑level requirements into detailed technical specifications. /li liCollaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand payload requirements and translate them into system specifications. /li liAligning software and hardware components to optimize overall system performance. /li liEngaging with stakeholders to gather and refine user requirements, ensuring their needs are met from concept to deployment. /li liConducting end‑to‑end validation and performance modelling to ensure seamless integration and operation of the systems. /li liWriting and managing technical requirements to guide the project towards successful execution. /li liImplementing test procedures to verify payload performance and reliability. /li liDeveloping software components and systems using various programming languages and tools. /li liWorking closely with hardware engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated satellite solutions. /li /ul pDesign and develop software solutions for satellite payloads, ensuring compliance with industry standards. /p h3What do we look for? /h3 ul liBSc or MSc degree in aerospace engineering, electronics, computer science, wireless communications, or similar fields. /li liExperience in the design of space systems from proposal stage through to detailed design. /li liExperience in systems‑of‑systems design and system performance modelling, with high‑level requirements decomposition into well‑defined system and subsystem requirements. /li liExperience in end‑to‑end validation of space systems including both space and ground components. /li liKnowledge of satellite communications (link budgets, protocols, commercial products). /li liProfessional requirements writing experience. /li /ul h3How to Stand Out /h3 ul liPrevious experience in project execution applying ECSS standards. /li liSystem modelling and simulation tools such as Matlab, Simulink and Python. /li liKnowledge of cloud‑based architectures. /li liKnowledge of security architectures and standards applicable to space systems. /li liKnowledge of satellite onboard processing, image processing and the potential use of AI algorithms for edge computing. /li /ul h3Fast‑paced and delivery‑focused culture /h3 pWe work with well‑defined quarterly based objectives, that allow us to fast‑track the progression of our work and improve as we go.
