With features like 3D graphics, augmented reality, and mobile support, our solutions help improve efficiency across various industries.We are looking for a highly motivated Software Sales Engineer to help expand the Emerson software business in the North-East (Triveneto) Italy area. In this role, you will focus on developing sales strategies and building strong relationships with potential and existing customers. Your work will involve identifying customer needs, meeting with key partners, and collaborating with engineering teams to create tailored solutions.You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of industries, including manufacturing, water treatment, automotive, transportation, life sciences, chemicals, and energy. As part of this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for introducing our powerful software solutions, including sophisticated systems for automation, control, and analysis.Your efforts will not only drive the growth of the business but will also open doors for your professional development.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Acquire knowledge of the Emerson Software portfolio through training, and effectively communicate to customers the value and return on investment offered by these products.Act as a trusted advisor to customers bringing the latest digital technologies to help them grow and improve their businesses.Drive sales opportunities to closure in order to meet new order and sales targetsCreatively expand the list of target accounts, also identifying new niches of growth, with entrepreneurship.Account planning and tactical execution.Interacting with marketing, product managers, engineers, and supply chain to provide feedback on market, or customer, needs and dynamics.Salesforce.com CRM based orders forecastingTactical planning for commercial and marketing activities.Who You Are:You are excited to join a team of experts not afraid of technological challenges.You are curious to explore the systems, tools and solutions that Emerson makes available to you and our customers.You are aware of the opportunity to be an authority in our industry and to drive the digital transformation!For This Role, You Will Need:Studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related subject areaDemonstrated ability in an outside sales role, or a small business leadership role, preferably in industrial automation.Knowledge of HMI, Supervisory Control, and/or Plant Analytic softwareSolid understanding of automation systems for building automation, infrastructure, manufacturing, and/or machine automation. Technologies include IIoT, HMI/SCADA, OEE software and cloud/EDGE technologiesStrong communication skills both verbally and written: natively fluent in Italian, good command of English language.Domestic travel requiredPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:Previous role as Application Engineer (or Solution Architect) preferred.Sales experience in adjacent industries (mechatronics / robotics / information operations technology / industrial or manufacturing software / MES MIS / cloud computing / instrumentation)Our Culture Commitment to YouAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
