Job Scope
We are looking for a motivated and results‑driven Business Development Manager to join our team in Reggio Emilia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, with a proven ability to identify and acquire new opportunities: a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of gaining and developing new business through sales efforts.
This position requires a true “hunter” mindset — someone proactive, energetic, and focused on developing new customers and driving revenue growth. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and acquire new high‑potential prospects in line with the company’s commercial strategy.
* Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision makers.
* Proactively identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to customers.
* Develop and execute a structured sales plan to achieve growth targets.
* Promote the company’s freight forwarding and logistics solutions.
* Manage the sales process end‑to‑end, from lead generation to contract closure.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure long‑term business partnerships.
* Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
* Collaborate closely with the Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
* Provide regular reporting and updates on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts.
Requirements
* Minimum 4‑5 years of experience in sales or business development within the freight forwarding sector.
* Proven track record in acquiring and developing new business.
* Strong knowledge of international transport operations.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
* Proactive, dynamic, and self‑motivated, with a strong commercial mindset.
* Based in or willing to relocate to Reggio Emilia.
