Job Description
Manages and expands the client portfolio to achieve high win rates and gross profit margins in line with new business revenue targets
Engages continuously with clients to maintain strong relationships and ensure account growth and retention
Identifies and consults with multiple decision-makers to understand customer logistics needs and business challenges
Develops local sales strategy in collaboration with Branch Manager and Sales Area Manager to align with business objectives
Explores and identifies potential vertical markets for development at both local and national levels
Designs and presents customized logistics solutions that align with the client's business goals and create added value
Builds trust by staying informed about customer industries and ensuring a seamless collaboration with Product teams, Sales Channels, and Station Management
Collaborates with Country and Product Management to define and implement pricing strategies for all customer requests
Utilizes MS Dynamics CRM daily to document all sales activities, track opportunities, and update client information
Secures new business opportunities by actively managing them through the CRM system
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in field sales within the freight forwarding sector, with a strong focus on Air & Ocean logistics (alternative experience will be considered)
Solid knowledge of the Air & Ocean Freight market, products, operational processes, industry terminology, and market analysis methodologies
Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze information and develop effective, practical solutions
Strong results orientation with a clear focus on achieving set targets and performance goals
Client-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate customer needs and deliver high levels of satisfaction
Entrepreneurial thinking with a proactive and creative approach to business development
Fluency in Italian and professional English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and partners at various organizational levels
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and focus on results
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at various organizational levels
Willingness to travel as required by the role
