Ph3ABOUT NEXUS /h3pConstruction accounts for roughly 40% of global CO₂ emissions, and it is one of the few major industries that has barely changed in fifty years. Nexus is closing that gap with a full-stack approach that turns each building into a manufactured product. /ppWe develop building systems for structure and envelope, adapted to bespoke projects in partnership with developers in Europe and the United States. Nexus performs engineering and design-for-manufacture (DfM) of prefabricated building systems and manufactures them via a distributed network of partner factories across Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. /ppWe pioneer AI in the Physical world with the Nexus Operating System: a proprietary software tool that enables us to configure our building components, manage production data and orchestrate production pre-assembly through a digital interface. /ph3THE ROLE /h3pA full-time, in-person role in the TECHNICAL DESIGN team at our Turin office. You will lead the technical design, Design for Manufacture Assembly (DfMA) and production documentation for our prefabricated building systems on live projects in Europe and the United States. /ppYou can expect to work across Mass Timber assemblies, structural steel and façade scope. We believe in giving our team ownership from day zero. You will own a defined scope of the prefabricated system, end to end, from technical design through manufacturing. On each project you will: /pulliLead the technical design development of your scope, /liliPerform DfMA and produce the corresponding production drawings, /liliRun technical coordination with our engineering partners, /liliInterface with the Project Management team to supervise the creation of 1:1 prototypes /liliDirectly interface with our manufacturing partners to tailor production documentation /liliSupport the manufacturing team through the production of your scope, /liliDesign the assembly sequence and produce assembly and pre-assembly documents, lifting plans and supporting assembly documentation /li /ulpThe growth-path is towards a Technical Manager responsible for all production documentation for a given project. /ph3QUALIFICATIONS /h3pYou are expected to hold an Engineering (Structural / Civil / Building) or a Technical Architecture degree, with 2+ years of professional experience in design, detailing or production documentation of buildings or industrial systems. /ppAbove all we value raw problem solving skills, demonstrated understanding of constructibility and engineering principles, and clear communication. /pulliYou have detailed construction systems and produced shop drawings / construction documents in a prior role. /liliHands‑on experience with Mass Timber (glulam / CLT), steel detailing or unitized façade assemblies is a strong plus. /liliYou have a proficient understanding of building principles and familiarity with industrialized construction techniques. You are expected to demonstrate practical familiarity through past work or your own projects. /liliYou are precise and fast in CAD and modeling. If your tool of choice is Rhinoceros 3D by McNeel you have an advantage. A mechanical engineering background working in SolidWorks, OnShape or Tekla / CADWork will qualify too. /liliYou can follow, and are comfortable creating, strict modeling standards. /liliYou speak English and Italian, at least of one of these to a mother-tongue level. /liliYou are ready to speak with and interface directly with our manufacturers, and to see the product of your work come to life on site. /liliAt Nexus we believe everyone on the team should be able to write tools that improve their own workflows, not only the software engineers. While not a requirement, we value candidates with programming or scripting experience. Previous examples of automations or plugins inside your CAD of choice are a bonus. /li /ulh3COMPENSATION /h3p€28,000 to €45,000 per year based on experience and on the level of ownership you can take on. Performance reviewed annually. /ph3ABOUT THE FOUNDER /h3pNexus is founded by Myk Murashko. Architect and software engineer trained at Cambridge. Previously CTO of the in-house digital fabrication team at Carlo Ratti Associati. Co-founder and CEO of Maestro Technologies ), a design build startup scaled from zero to a €5M revenue business with bespoke architectural projects constructed in Europe, USA, China and South America. /ppNexus is his second company. /ph3TO APPLY /h3pEmail with your CV portfolio of technical work. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
