Technical sales manager

The TSM we're seeking will deliver customer and internal organizational technical support within a dedicated application or industry.


Responsibilities

The person in charge will be responsible for the following focal points:

* Gathering market trends, competitor insights, and customer needs to provide recommendations.
* Creating new opportunities with existing customers and prospects requiring highly technical support, initiating and following up on sample/approval processes.
* Identifying and prioritizing these opportunities by industry, qualifying based on strategic fit, volume, profitability potential, and success probability.
* Supporting customers on-site with new product introductions and ensuring technical success.
* Handover of projects to the external Account Manager once projects are commercialized.
* Collaborating with the technical service manager (for some suppliers) and/or supplier's technical departments to stay technically updated.
* Keeping technical documentation updated and accessible to the sales team, coordinating with product management, technical service, and regulatory affairs on storage and management of documents.
* Supporting sales pitches with local market knowledge.
* Building networks within industry associations and participating in application working groups.


Your Profile

Our ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

* Proficiency in using AS 400 and Excel.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to mediate sales requests with R&D processes.
* Degree in Chemical Science (Bachelor or Master).
* At least 3-5 years of experience in R&D within a chemical, beauty, or care company.
