Head of Sales at Portofino Dry Gin
Portofino Dry Gin is looking for an exceptional Head of Sales who has a strong passion and knowledge of premium spirits. Understands luxury positioning and can translate it into clear, effective sales strategies. Has a proven ability to grow market share and open new markets. Skilled in managing international distributors, channels, and high-end customer relationships.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience (min. 5-10 years) in sales leadership roles within the spirits or premium beverage industry, with a successful track record in driving growth and managing teams.
Previous experience in the travel retail for the beverage industry will be preferred.
Ability to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
Strong market analysis skills : understanding consumer trends, competitor landscape, and channel dynamics. Experience in KPI management, forecasting, budgeting, and performance evaluation.
Coaching and motivating sales teams to achieve ambitious targets. Recruiting, training, and retaining top sales talent.
Ability to scale business in new channels and territories (export, travel retail, luxury retail, ontrade, offtrade, web / digital).
Managing performance reviews, setting clear objectives, and implementing improvement plans.
Distributor management : building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and on & off premise accounts.
Trade presence : representing the brand at industry events, and activations to enhance visibility and brand equity.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking abilities, problem solving and time management skills.
Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales reporting systems.
A person who speaks business fluent Italian and English, the two main working languages. Knowledge of Spanish and French is also preferred.

Lavoro da remoto 1 or 2 days per week.
