Our Client is an Italian engineering company specialized in advanced industrial water treatment and recycling solutions, primarily serving global cosmetic and pharmaceutical groups.
Headquartered near Bergamo, Italy, the company designs and installs high-performance modular systems enabling significant water reuse and operational efficiency for industrial clients.
With strong international exposure (approx. 80% of revenues generated outside Italy) and a fast-growing pipeline of complex projects, the Client is strengthening its organization to accelerate international expansion and consolidate its leadership in sustainable water technologies.
The Company is a private family SME, recently backed by a leading European private equity firm focused on environmental sustainability and is currently entering anew phase of international expansion and organizational strengthening to support its next stage of growth.
Position – The role:
The new role ofTechnical Sales Directorwill report to and work very closely with the CEO, delving into technical details with the goal to developing solutions and establishing standards to lead the creation of a more industrialized, scalable model that will drive growth across strategic accounts as well as key geographies
The role requires a strong combination oftechnical understanding of industrial water treatment solutions and high-value project sales capabilities, managing complex sales cycles with multinational clients and coordinating closely with engineering and project management teams.
The position will play a critical role in expanding Client's global footprint and strengthening its positioning with leading cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and industrial clients.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
Gain trust within the company and establish solid relationships with both the Executive Team and the Stakeholders
Develop and execute a broad range of tailor-made technical solutions based on standardised modular components, through the
Definition of shared engineering guidelines
Creation of a technical library (automation, P&IDs;, specifications, drawings, production costs)
Optimization of complexity, timelines, and profit margins
Take end to end ownership of the projects, from design to realisation by the Client, granting consistency between proposal, design and implementation on one side, while building solid relationships on the other.
Support the CEO in drivinginternational sales growthby expanding the company's presence with global industrial clients, particularly yet not limited to cosmetics and pharma.
Manage and develop the engineering team to improve the support provided to clients, as a turn-key element to scale up the organisation.
Strengthen / establish meaningful relationships withkey strategic accountsand large multinational clients.
Manage arobust pipeline of complex engineering projects.
Position the Client as areference technology provider in industrial water recycling and sustainability solutions.
Support the company'sscaling phase under private equity ownership, contributing to profitable growth and international expansion.
Requirements ("Must have"):
Hard Skills
Degree inEngineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or similar), or equivalent experience
Proven overall experience ******+ years) including at least 5+ years intechnical sales of industrial solutions, managing end to end complex projects with multinational industrial clients, in Italy and abroad.
Technical Design and Automation are required within the technical background
Strong background inwater treatment, environmental technologies, process engineering, or similar sectors.
Strong understanding ofengineering-driven sales cycles and technical proposal development.
International commercial exposure and ability to operate acrossmultiple geographies.
Strong commercial discipline includingpipeline management, forecasting, and contract negotiation.
Soft Skills
Strongconsultative selling capabilitieswith a solution-oriented, scalable mindset.
Ability to operate effectively at the intersection oftechnical and commercial environments.
Excellentrelationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic mindset with strongbusiness development orientation.

Ability to work incross-functional teamswith engineering, operations and management.
