What You Will Do
* Draft & Review: Review, draft, and redline a wide variety of technology-focused commercial agreements.
* Strategic Advisory: Advise clients on specific contract terms, business risk exposure, intellectual property licensing, and negotiation strategies.
* On-Demand Execution: Maintain a steady pipeline of project-based assignments, delivering highly precise legal work with an expected agile turnaround time (24-hour turnaround on selected deliverables).
* Project Types Include: SaaS and cloud agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, NDAs, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), commercial terms & conditions, IP licensing, and AI-specific transactional terms.
Ideal Candidate Profile & Required Skills
* Licensure: Must be a fully qualified avvocato/avvocata in Italy in good standing with a local bar association.
* Professional Background: 5+ years of experience in commercial contracts, with a proven track record working at a top-tier large corporate law firm or acting as an in-house General Counsel / Legal Counsel for a scaling technology company.
* SaaS & Tech Expertise: Strong hands-on experience drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements, digital privacy terms (GDPR/DPA exhibits), open-source compliance, and emerging AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act implications).
* Public Procurement (Plus): Experience handling European public procurement contracts, framework agreements, or the Italian Public Procurement Code (Codice dei contratti pubblici) is highly valued.
* Operational Drive: Ability to work completely independently, manage a variable workload, and possess professional liability (malpractice) insurance.
* Languages: Native or fluent legal proficiency in Italian, alongside excellent professional business English fluency for international negotiations.
