Role Overview The Technical Pre-Sales role is to provide technical support to the sales team. The role requires an ability to create both high and low level designs to meet both a customer's technical and budgetary requirements, and secure profitable deals that maximize margin, always ensuring what is being sold can be delivered efficiently by the wider Operations Team. Technical Pre-Sales will ensure that our presales activity is conducted in accordance with the agreed scope, Network standards and according to customer expectations so that we design a competitive solution we can present to the hotel in conjunction with the Cluster Sales team. You will also act as a hub in the Planet team to administer and plan presales activity together and in conjunction with the Cluster Sales team and the partner presales engineer. What you will do Provide pre-sales technical support to colleagues requiring assistance with equipment, hardware or service configurations and functionality. When required liaise directly with customers or prospective customers in relation to the same. Support Cluster Sales to present the technical solution to the customer. Assists Sales in answering RFPs when needed Review & approve site surveys. Take responsibility for the technical validation and sign off of solution design, configuration, interoperability and delivery cost assessment. Build Bills of Quantity (BoQ's) for Networking projects for inclusion in Sales offers to customers Keep up to date with latest product developments from our chosen suppliers and within the industry in general. Drive the technical handover of sales to the relevant project team. Be an escalation point for project manager's and installation engineers of previously sold projects. Provide statistics on all Presales related tasks to Senior Director of Network Operations. Who you are Technical skills and Networking expertise with CWNA or equivalent (CCNA Wi-Fi) certification (essential) and Education to degree level (preferred) Minimum 3 years experience in opensource systems administration (Linux) and Network Operations. High level of expertise with IP technology, networks, software with good Wi-Fi / IPTV expertise with high density deployments (multi vendors) Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools Hospitality industry experience (preferred) High level relationship builder with the ability to gain respect as a leader, influencer & technical go-to person for multiple teams. Analytical, able to repackage and disseminate information for rapid problem solving You are an excellent communicator. Proactive, structured, organised, disciplined and able to handle different tasks & issues.
