This role involves developing and implementing effective supplier and category strategies, negotiating with suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement processes. The Direct Procurement Senior Category Manager Corporate collaborates with various departments to understand their procurement needs and aligns procurement strategies to support the organization's overall goals and objectives. /ppKey responsibilities : /ppbCategory and Supplier Strategy : /b /ppDevelop and implement strategic procurement plans for direct goods and services. /ppAnalyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to identify procurement opportunities and risks. /ppIdentify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and agreements. /ppBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring high-quality products / services and timely deliveries. /ppMonitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement improvement plans as necessary. /ppCost Management : /ppOptimize costs by negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers. /ppIdentify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service. /ppbCollaboration and Communication : /b /ppCollaborate with internal stakeholders (such as departments requiring direct goods / services) to understand their needs and requirements. /ppCommunicate procurement policies and procedures to internal teams, ensuring compliance and understanding of best practices. /ppCompliance and Risk Management : /ppEnsure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. /ppIdentify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions or supplier financial instability. /ppbContract Management : /b /ppDraft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring terms are favorable and in compliance with legal requirements. /ppMonitor contract performance, renew contracts as needed, and manage contract expiration and renewal processes. /ppbData Analysis and Reporting : /b /ppAnalyze procurement data to identify trends, track performance metrics, and prepare reports for management. /ppUtilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improve procurement processes. /ppbRequirements : /b /ppMaster’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. /ppProven experience in direct procurement, preferably in a managerial role.
